Kelowna Set for a Growth Spurt in 2015

The City of Kelowna’s 2014 Community Trends Report stated that 96% of residents rated their quality of life as “good” or “very good”. With newly elected Mayor Colin Basran leading the way, the city intends to carry out numerous development & expansion projects at an estimated cost of $90 million.

“Major projects for 2015 include the new RCMP building, park improvements, transit upgrades, road upgrades and development, and parkade construction. Funding will be derived from municipal, provincial, and federal sources”- KelownaNow.com

These developments will not only ensure that local infrastructure can support a steadily growing population but  will provide increased opportunities for local employment.
