Meet Jamela Van Steinburg!

With her unmistakable laugh, quick wit and razor sharp instincts, Jamela Van Steinburg is not only an integral part of operations at West Harbour she is also a staff and resident favorite, a mother of one, and a Real Estate aficionado. Here are her thoughts on Real Estate, West Harbour and life in the beautiful Okanagan.

How long have you been the Sales Manager at West Harbour:

I have been the sales manager for just over a year and have had the pleasure of helping over 40 families find their new homes!

What’s your favorite part of your job:

Watching a community develop before my eyes.  It’s like playing in a sandbox on steroids,  with real Tonka Trucks and Lego!  The transformation in the last year alone is spectacular. The beach was finished, the pool was put in and the marina has been extended.  Every day a new pile of dirt turns into a beautiful home personalized and ready for a new family’s memories.

Favorite spot in the Okanagan: 

I don’t want to seem like I am giving the hard sell here but my 6 year old Haylee and I LOVE spending our days off at the West Harbour Pool!  My second favorite place in Kelowna Mountain mostly because my fiancé and I are planning our wedding there!

Best Place to Eat in Kelowna:

It’s impossible to pick just one! Joeys, The Train Station Pub, The Eldorado, and Keg!! Oh, and the Bohemian café, Oh and Cedar Creek Winery. Oh and The Fixx Cafe!  I could keep going! I think I need to take some cooking lessons… I might have a problem!
